Premalata Jena (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India, in 2001, the M.Tech. degree in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in power system engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2011. She has been an Associate Professor of electrical engineering and the Joint Faculty with the Center for Sustainable Energy, IIT Roorkee, Roorkee, India, since 2012. Dr. Jena was the recipient of the SERB POWER Fellowship from SERB, DST, in 2022, the Women Excellence Award 2017 from DST, New Delhi, and the Young Engineer Award, Indian National Academy of Engineering, and POSOCO Power System Award, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., India, in 2013. Her research interests include power system protection, EV grid integration, smart grid cybersecurity, and renewables integration protection.
